It’s been exactly six months since we closed the shop on Elizabeth Street and for some reason I felt the need to start writing something today. This entry began as the “Classic Kicks State of the Union”, but I thought that was too dramatic and I wouldn’t know where to start at this point. I’m probably not even equipped to elaborate right now. As time goes on, I’m sure it will surface here.
What I’ve constantly been thinking about though, is that we need to have some fresh content on classickicks.com. It’s not a good look to have the same website day in and day out for six months. I know. With that being said, it’s obviously a little bit trickier to remain current when you don’t have the shop and new product to feature on a weekly basis.
What we can do though, is continue to update the “blog” section of the website to stay connected and keep you up to date with what we’re working on. I’m sure you’ll also see plenty of random thoughts, places, people, products, etc, that are on our minds at any given time. I’m not positive how this will shape out, but I am committing to keeping it current and sharing as much as we can of what we’re getting into.
As far as content, I’m not planning on cutting and pasting sneaker release info or links to Drake mixtapes. If you want that sort of thing, you probably already know where to find it. This will probably be a more eclectic representation of all the things that make up Classic Kicks. We’ll still have plenty of footwear to show you, as well as some collaborations coming very soon, but for now we’re keeping an open mind and we’ll see what happens.
Thanks for checking in,
Nick (and sometimes Jen)
