The catalog scan of the Air Trainer SC II popped up on TheShoeGame.com yesterday. This is really the last of the Bo Jackson cross trainers left to re-release and now we’ll be seeing this pair in the Summer of 2011. After last September’s release of the ATSC in OG orange colorway, we knew it was only a matter of time before this iconic trainer would make a comeback.
These are one of my top 5 sneakers of all time, no bullshit. The aqua colored liner, the rubberized neon tongue pad….oh wait….
Those two features seem to be missing from the above pictured retro, but as we’ve seen in the past (structure triax 91 and air tech challenge), with enough feedback, Nike has been known to tweak a couple of the features to make them more like the OG’s. Sometimes I actually think Nike intentionally keeps the sample a little “janky”, to keep orders down, and then they surprise us all with a great final product. I’m not too concerned with how the colors match up now, or if the ankle padding is a little lower. The proof will be in the production samples.
After the jump, you can compare pics of the ATSCII in this same colorway, as well as the infrared colorway, which we also hope will make a comeback next summer. Thanks to NiceKicks for the great vintage pics of the infrareds.
