I could care less about artist collabs, tier zero, hybrids, distribution, and all that other bullshit. I’ve been a Nike fan since I was eight years old based on sport, technology, performance, and classic marketing. Thats why I originally got into this business. That was the beauty of Nike in it’s Golden Age (1985-1991)…..The true performance models were also dope as shit and it was up to us to interpret these styles for fashion as well as function.
Here’s a collection of some Vintage Nike ads on my hard drive, spanning 1983-1991.
Dj Premier x Nike Air Force One

DJ Premier Air Force One from the DJ Rivalry pack. These Uptowns are pretty well thought out. Brown suede upper panels with full grain and crackled leather and contrast stitching. This pair also comes with “Premier” lacelocks, laser etching on lateral side, lase etched “DJ Premier” on the heels, clear soles with turntable graphics underneath and finally two sets of laces: black and white with Premier lacetips. These shits is nice for this time of year. Good too see some Air Force Ones coming back around. Sizes 8-13 only, limited numbers, on sale Saturday, January 9th.
