This book and exhibit are right up my alley.

Soul Jazz Records and Beth Lesser bring us this book with hundreds of photos capturing the early days of Dancehall in Jamaica. If you have this CD, you know it gets down to business. Now we have a chance to also own the images that bring us a more in depth look at the fashion, music and lifestyle straight from yard. More info available HERE.
This book is apparently promo only (not for sale), and available only at Sneaker Freaker.

The only sneakers I ever stood in line for were the Supreme low tops. I think I got there around 9:30 am that morning and then didn’t even get my size or first choice of color because a few friends walked in right before they opened and loaded several 12 packs into the back of their van. I ended up getting the whites a day later from some guy in the city and selling the black sz 10′s for a little more than I paid for the whites, so I guess it all worked out. Those Supreme lows might be the best sneakers ever created. I couldn’t stop staring at pics when they first hit the internet and I remember sneakerpimps.com (?) selling them for like $1,000 a few months early. Those things changed everything.
So I guess this Nike SB book is coming out soon.
I’m going to Borders. This is another book I need to pick up after reading the excerpt.
