Capleton at B.B. King’s Tomorrow
Monday, September 27th, 2010The Fire Man himself will be performing at B.B. King’s in NYC tomorrow night (tues 9/27).
If you ever wanted to go a see a reggae concert, you should start tomorrow with this one for $25.
There are a only a handful of artists whose live show I will recommend: Sizzla, Junior Gong, Buju (hopefully), and Capleton. There’s a level below this thats good (ex. Richie Spice), and I still haven’t seen Mavado live yet. That’s on my list if he would come to NYC. Our boy @bredrengeorgie saw him at the Jungle in Negril a couple years ago. THAT must have been nuts.

Monday, September 27th, 2010Fresh Prince x 298 Elizabeth Street
Friday, September 24th, 2010Found this pic of Will Smith from ’87-’88 and my brother-in-law just pointed out that it was taken right outside of Classic Kicks.
Our shop was located at 298 Elizabeth Street, which also used to be the original Def Jam studio and offices back in the 80′s. Every single legendary hip hop artist spent some time in that building.
Sim Simma. Enjoy this pic of the Fresh Prince and his Nike Air Assaults.
