Another childhood idol was Brian Bosworth’s (alter?) ego, “The Boz”.  I modeled my 10 year old middle linebacker persona after this dude and the stories told in his autobiography. From playing in #44, to the neck roll, to the lines shaved in the side of my head, I thought I was a miniature version of this lunatic from Oklahoma.

The Boz’s college term in Norman was great, but wrapped in steroid scandal and then his short-lived pro career pretty much ended when Bo Jackson (semi) ran over him at the goal line on a Monday night in Seattle.

The Boz was still pretty bad-ass and definitely didn’t give a shit….and for that, we salute him.
